About the Owners Chuck & Laura

Chuck & Laura began a love affair with both each other and wine in 1991.  During their honeymoon, Laura's father took them wine tasting for the first time at York Mountain Winery in Paso Robles, CA. Ever since then, they have both been enthralled with wine of all types, varietals, and appellations.

Laura most recently poured wine in the tasting room at Olde Lockeford Winery in Lodi at the Vino Piazza. She has also worked at the Wine Shoppe on Standiford Avenue. Laura holds an AA degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Hawaii.

Both Laura and Chuck have completed many wine and enology educational courses and have poured wine at many charity fundraisers and wine events all across northern California.

Chuck has his MBA with concentration in Information Systems from University of Phoenix and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Angel's share is a term for the portion (share) of a wine or distilled spirit's volume that is lost to evaporation during aging in oak barrels.
